I am looking for someone who is reliable(maybe arbiter or up kind of person) to help me with radiosity on my map. There is nothing wrong with it other than it takes 10-12 hours on my slow computer. I was wondering if osmeone would be nice enough to run radiosity on their computer and then send me the .scenario, .structure_bsp, and the bitmap radiosity created back to me.

As for system specs, i hav 1250mb of ram(i think, that is what ctrl+alt+delete says) and i have a 1.9ghz processor. If your system is better than this plz tell me. to find out press start, run, type in dxdiag and hit enter

it should look like this

post the picture of dxdiag or just type out the 2 lines (NOTE: If the computer is called your real name then you might want to blur it out)

yea i think what u have pointed out includes what ur computer will use of your HD as RAM.. trust me, if you ever go above ur RAM things get sloooow

i had 512MB and would get up to using around 700MB. then i got 1GB of RAM and i can still use up 1.25GB

[edit] anyways... to make radiosity take less time try some stuff. one thing would be to go into the shader tags and set the detail level to either low or turd. this is what tells sapien how detailed the lightmap should be on the texture. so unless ur looking for perfect diagonal lines of shadows on ur texture, u can set this lower.

another thing would be to try to now have too many huge lights. by that i mean dont have a 500x500 plane that is a light. try other ways of lighting areas.

i had a 5000x3000 plane that was gonna light up my whole map. the 3 numbers that sapien started with for radiosity were like 25. usually the most you start with is like 1.0 or maybe .6
