HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I have tried to make my own weapon but when I run tool bitmaps weapons\test\bitmaps i get
Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'

I also saw this when I tried to use tool to make my own map and i bet it will happen when I try to make my own vehicle....any help...please

it always says thatr but when it satys only that it means that it coul't find your file

Just ignore that. Toolbeta.map was something for when they were devoloping Halo. If you're getting errors its not because of that.

ok..cool...but when I run the bitmaps part of the tool part Nothing comes up.... it just says:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition>tool bitmaps weapons\test\b
itmaps
Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
and then the C: again.....it does not make a bitmap or whatever it is supposed to do

how about you use another programm than tool.exe wait link is coming

ok.....il try that next...but I just tried to use tool with my UFO i call test (i call all of my first things test....for some reason) and now i got the beta map thin and ### test.JMS.......this thing is driving e NUTZ


edit: wait....what is supposed to be in the bitmaps folder? Becuase I did not add anything to my bitmaps folder yet

Save all of your images as .tif in your bitmaps subdirectory of your weapons main directory. at the command prompt type "tool bitmaps weapons\WeaponName\bitmaps"

That should do it.
