installing HEK

I have so many downloading problems. I just downloaded HEK from several different sites. When it is done it comes up with an application not an installable program. It is in .exe file. When I open it it comes up with an error saying: C:Documents and Settings\Jyl Horton\Desktop\heksetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application. I don't know whats wrong. Can anyone help?

^^ What he said, I had Windows ME before, Tried HEK and didn't work.. Sounds like your using an OS that HEK can not run on.

Maybe there's a problem with your windows. If so, just go and install the SP2 and it should take care of any problems with windows. After that try installing again.

If you already have Service Pack 2, that sometimes causes a downlaod or install problem. It made me unable to Install Chaser. The way to do that, is to uninstall SP2 then install what you need to then reinstall SP2...pain in the ass but it works.

I'm pretty sure I have SP2. Automatic update dl'ed it methinks.

I already had SP2 installed the previous times I downloaded, so I tried dl'ing (twice, from two different places) without SP2 and that didn't work either.
Can someone post a heksetup.exe they know works here so I know I'm not downloading bad files (from 4 different places) and I know its not the server (I don't see hek in the utilities but maybe I'm overlooking it, nor can I find it on Halo Universe.) That way I will be sure I'm skrewed. Thanks for all your trouble and time!

PS. I have no problem downloading other things like mods and maps but I had a hell of a time dl'ing CE (finaly got it obviously, it only worked from one server out of the handfull I tried but they dont have HEK up for dl), but I guess thats just the nature of the download.
