is that the exact words that tool itself says to you, or are these from something else?

i could help more if they are directly from the tool screen...well command prompt screen.

cuz i don't recognize those so they dont seem like tool showedthem through the command prompt

actually, tool doesn't give me any problems.....unless I am missing something, but tool.exe structure levels\stink_bug stink_bug and it doesnt give me any errors, then i go straight to sapien to check it out, but it either open up, and gives me those messages in the debug.txt, and sometimes sapien just crashes

hmmm....

[talking to self so don't mind this]perhaps the bitmaps you have...no, that can't be it. hmm....my sapien used to crash a lot for no reason, but i never looked in the debug.txt before..maybe it was the same problem...now what did i do to fix it[/talking to self so don't mind this]

umm...i'll get back to you on that

lol, do what you have to do pie, i had a feeling it might be my max materials, but i only used a "blurnoise" plugin i have for max, but used it as the defuse map, only changing the color to the blur things. I also as it says transparent, i made it transparent, atleast tried to, clearly isn't working...

hmm...why not try makign a small object using that plugin and then another not using the plugin.

if it doesn't work with the plugin but does without it, you've got your problem

Those plugins will only work in max but not halo. It's like setting the opacity for an object low... but in halo, it will be fully visible. So drop those plugins I say!

well, i deleted that material, and the water like stuff it was supposed to be assign to, same error, this is driving me nuts, i can't find anything on this! No rest for the wicked they say...

Well, remake all your material groups in max and re-export. Then verify all your shaders are set up right. If it still happens, re-install HEK and try again.

*grabs a torch and pitchfork*

DOWN WITH THE PLUGINS!

Do what PIE said to me in my topic, and make one map that is completely bland. a big green ground texture, no hills or anything. then just follow the tutorial with the bare minimum, and no extra stuff ( including plugins and such, unless yer using gmax, in which case you need CHIMP ) and then see if THAT works. then you can go back and add more and more stuff.

well for 3ds you obviously need the blitzkreig exporter plugin lol

*in a pleasant, casual tone*

I havent the slightest clue what that is :)

WELL, if KIRK-man uses it, then this guy should too <insert 'tongue out' emoticon here>

the blitzkreig plug-in for 3ds max is the .jma and .jms exporter for 3ds max lol

So naturally, to convince poor PC gamers to buy 3dsmax, no such plugin was created for gmax.

Well, it had to do with fees and licenses so they couldn't make a gmax plugin without forking over some money, but that wasn't the case for 3ds max... so they said "to hella with gmacks" and well... to hella gmax went... O_o

ha...the guy who made the blitzkreig max 6 plugin did it on his own time too, so that was out before they even considered making one for it...sorta
