kind of like when schol orders pizza. not bad because it was ordered, and not good because it is served in the caf...just there....

This might have something to do with the version of the .dds texture. Most times, the lower the version (dxt1-dxt2) usually have waird problems like that when the alpha channels aren't properly divided. But it is probably something else.
