Question about MAYA 6

Can i still make halo maps and export in maya... i just got it and its awsome but i dont no if i can do the stuff i did with 3ds max

Yes u can but, ur gonna have to use max to, because making maps in maya is hard cause u cant flip faces i also use maya 6. personally i like it better. but it will be hard to make it cause maya can only make objects up to a certain size and u wont beable to see it any more. and you will need an obj export and import and or a 3ds import and export and i can supply both of them to you if needed

Maya doesn't support the HEK so you can't make halo maps with it. Only programs like Gmax and 3dsmax can you use to make maps. Sorry. BTW, Gmax is 100% free and 3dsmax has a free trial out. Try them out. Personally, I like them better than Maya or Milkshape.

You CAN make maps with it, but you'll have to put it into max or gmax to convert it to JMS. If you are used to Maya, I'd suggest using it.

I had that thought in the back of my head.... but wasn't sure if it was true. Ah well. More knowledge more power!
