okay. I try to compile .jms files i get from chimp to gbxmodels but i just keep getting the error where it cant find the file or i use the wrong syntax.
I input this an te comm and line:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo Custom Edition\>tool.exe model weapons\energy sword

And I get:

Couldn't read map file './toolbeta.map'
usage: tool.exe verb <options..>
model source-directory

I know the first error statement means nothing bt can soeone tell me what i am doing wrong? I made the directories for the weapon just fine too!

Try putting weapons\energy sword in quotes. If that doesn't work, you might have to rename it to one word (energysword).

I'm pretty sure you have to do something in chimp or in notepad or something. I dunno. I don't use Gmax. But I'm pretty sure it has to do with chimp.

This is probably a bad question, but did you set the model in your weapon tag?

You did make the box named "gun frame" (might be frame gun) and link all the refs to it, right?

it wasn't a gun it was a mesh for a map
