Sapien not being cool.

Okay, so I FINALLY got my levels into and out of tool successfully. And I bring it to my little sapien thing.. The only problam I have with sapien is my "+sky" is black, along with the rest of my level, and the sky is blue.. dark dark blue. There's no sky really, it's just dark blue. I read some posts here and a few people got the same problem and others blame if on gfx cards.. I got a Radeon 9800 pro.. I assure you it isn't that. So anyway I do my little sapien tutorial stuff and I get to "Radiosity_start" and those 3 numbers, all say "0.0000000" no counting down, no changing. I compiled the map and played in in Halo CE, and it was the same.. Everything was black as if there was no lighting, and the sky which you can't see from inside the level, is dark blue with no texture whatsoever.. Anyway I'm going to go out for a good half an hour - an hour.. I'll check back then. Thanks for reading.

u dont have a sky that you can see dumbass... sry not to flame.. but for light u need a light source... and u dont have any artificial lights in thier... and a sun wont jsut pop outta thin air.
and if you do have a sky... if you didnt notice in real life... the suns light doesnt penetrate thru walls much, so if ur problem is, that u have a sky but ur whole place is blocked in... then theres your solution... dont block out the sun and ull have some light...
remember im not flaming... just check out kirks...

well his map looks pretty open, i dont see why there isnt any light. and that doesnt explain why there is no sky at all. Which sky did you use?

I'm basically following the tutorial, but with my own level rather than what he does.. So the what'sitcalled.. From the tutorial, basic blue sky with some clouds, daytime.
I did find a small very un-emphasized problem in tool.exe.. "### The model shader base cannot be used in the environment." I'm assuming its the bitmap I have of my level template, that I first started with in photoshop.. Why is that unusable though? My alpha channel is still blank on that btw.. Even though it's saves as explicit aplha.
