2D animations for you teleporter

well im making my teleporter in max cuz i don't wana use the scenery one. I made a chicago shader for it and i have the bitmap. I want to put 2D animation on it so its not just a crappy picture. What should i put for the u animation source and v animation source? i dont really what A out means.

OK. An example of this is like in New Mombassa, when the sign on the main highway up top blinks repeatedly redblackredblack.

yeah i got this figured out.
Its ok just to put none at that place and just choose your animation. On the scenery teleporter at repitition they put -1, don't know why but i did it also. Anyways if anyone reads this hope it helps them out.

The teleporter scenery has -1 so it looks completely random. It's supposed to be that way.
EDIT: Wait, what did you do to the 2D anim and what did it look like?

basically i mirrored the scenery tele but i put some different animations on there like diagonal wave and spark instead of the animations they had
