tool problem

wtf does that mean? i couldnt get anything to work... i searched on many sites

It means your syntax is incorrect.

Tool automatically reads from the data folder; "C:\...\Data\" is not necessary. Also, it's asky for the scenario dir and then the bsp name. So, just say "tool structure levels\test\tutorial tutorial" and it should work.

You should be able to use the full paths if you want, try putting quotes around each of the full paths. Whenever you use a full path that has spaces in it when using a console program, you normally have to put quotes around the paths because a space is generally used a the parameter delimeter.

Or you could use dos names, like progra~1 for program files.
6 letters or less, no spaces, followed by ~1 (if more than 6 letters), ~2 if there are 2 folders with same 6 letters (microsoft frontpage and microsoft games) in alphabetical order.

So for me (having a folder named microsoft frontpage), :

C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\HALOCU~1\

It's a hassle to type out that, so stick with the levels\test...
But yes, the problem was with him mispelling edition, going into the models folder for the scenario, and forgetting the BSP name.

tried movin it to just the c:\ drive, no folders, to make it simpler, and still bunk

and to make it worse, i went thrugh just the first page of the tut, just to cut down on the variables, did everything correctly... still bunk
