Do you need a shader file for a diffuse color material?

Post by sorby »

A couple of the models in my map have a material with only a diffuse color and no bitmap. I was wondering if I still need to make a .shader file for these materials. Please help soon. Thanks.

well for something like the +sky material for the sky box, you dont need one. same with something like +unused. but if you are trying to color something and have it show up that color in halo, i suggest just making bitmaps of that color and then making the shader
