How do I get new textures to apply to my level?

I need help...how do you get new textures to apply to your level??? (and plz dont tell me something like you need to use tool reference bitmaps .tif, stuff like that because i do not understand tool.exe) or can i create my own texture? (did a tutorial like thiis come with HEK? because if it did i cant find it) o and btw dont tell me to search either becuase i did and i found nothing
