Making tifs, to bitmaps, to tags

Post by gamble »

I missed that somewhere in kirks videos. First he had it as a .tif. Then he had it as a bitmap in video 7 which he compiled into a tag. how did he get it to a bitmap or tag?

Open a command line, navigate to your Halo CE folder. Type, "tool bitmaps <bitmaps directory>". <bitmaps directory> This is the directory of the bitmaps in the data folder, for example, "levels\splinter\bitmaps".

The can't read toolbeta.map is not a problem it will always say that. It says nothing? Absolutely nothing?

It would save them to tags\levels\splinter\bitmaps I believe. If it could not find them it would say it couldn't but if it just sits there and nothing comes up that's' weird.
