sapien problems

hey im haveing big problem with sapien, whenever i try to open even a clean .scnr it opens then i hear bout 1 sec of sound then it crashes wtf is wrong heres what the debug said

SOLUTION: Go into Tasks/Processes and change the affinity for the
program to single CPU.
OR
Right click sapien.exe, select Properties. Then go to compatibility, and set it to run in Windows 98
