leveling area in 3ds max

Post by Tealreaper »

Is there a way to "level" an area, or combine the faces together to be flat? I tessellated a small area and edited it, but now need the area flat. Can you De-tessellate it somehow? And when it's flat can you get rid of the extra faces?

Well to flatten it either:

A) Select the faces and click "Make Planar".
B)Before you tessalate turn the tension down from "25" to "0".

To remove edges, this only works in Editable Poly Mode. Select the edge tool and delete the edges. Do not use backspace. Use the Del key.
