Map base

I have just made a base in Google Sketch up... the problem being, whihc format do I need to export it to? I have .skp, 2d graphic and google earth. Something tells me this isn't going to work.

1. Is Sketchup a picture or a model maker.
2. If its a model maker...just make the model in Gmax....
