how do you insert vehicle tags into maps?

how do you insert vehicle tags into maps?

vehicles tags that i have downloaded like the wraith or pelican

halo can only have 6 vehicles, so you need to take one out, to put a new one in (unless you have awesomesauce scripting h4x)

1.go into halo ce\tags\globals, and
2.back-up yer globals.globals.
3.then open it up in guerilla. scroll down about 3/4 of the way and you should find the vehicles tab.
4.open up the list thing, and click "c gun turret_mp" (it's the covvie gun turret btw).
5.hit delete, then hit add.
6.go to your tags\vehicles folder and find your vehicle (yes your vehicle has to be in there =p)
7. hit file,save.
8then open up your map in sapien
8.and in the heirachy view, navigate to your vehicles folder (should be missions\objects\units\vehicle)
9.right click anywhere in the game window,
10. and in the properties view, change the "none" to your vehicle.
11. viola! it's in-game. save your scenario and compile.
12. make sure your game type has the vehicles set to "custom" and there is 4 of everything.

oh, and if you can't get it to show up, start halo CE up in devmode, load yer map and hit ~. then type "cheat_all_vehicles" without the quotes and it should come up.

but for some reason when i open sapien it exits out what do i do now

thats because of your map um read debug.txt and post the errors at the bottom

BTW you can have more then 6 vehicles in one map.If someone wats to mess with me..i take it :wink:

have you ever used the civillian warthog tags?


if so where do i put the civinoturret.bitmap thing

Put them anywhere.I never used them but put them in a folder somewhre in the tags folder.Then open the warthog.shader_model with guerilla and redirect the bitmaps to the new one.
...left for good
