Creating Level, no textures showing up.

Post by boo_diddly »

Hey, I'm trying to create my first actual level and im having a few problems. First the only textures that are showing up are the ground texture but no other textures, just shades of color. The base walls are gray, the floors are another shade, and the ladders are just black *though you can climb up on them*. I am using gmax, Chimp exporter 1.6, and a crappy gpx card so all I see in sapian is red, yellow, olive green, and black. The base in sapian is the same shades as in-game, except for a few triangles where its red/yellow/black.

right now this is my major problem, which when resolved then I can continue on the level, and maybe find other problems.

ps, i would attach immages but I dont know how, stupidly enough. can you tell me how so i can post images of the problem?

i "fixed" the shaders, rebuilt the level, re-did radiosity, but i still dont see the textures, the shaders have the same name from the file, through gmax, and to the shader name itself. what else could be wrong?

The names in gmax have to be the same as the .bitmap.

yep, all the names are the same from start to finish, could it be something that started in the gmax textures?
