color-key transparency

when trying to compile a bitmap using tool, it always compresses using color-key transparency.

even though i go into guerilla and change it to 'explicit alpha'

how can i fix this?

That's the default compression. You can't change it, it's just the way tool is programmed.

Just out of interest why do you want it 'explicit alpha' ?

you can change it... you go into guerilla after you create the bitmap and then change the first drop down box under format i think and it will say cpmpress with explicit alpha channel or soemhting, then go back to tool and recompile it.

as for SSDC, im just following a tutorial - when i try to radiocitiese, it doesnt do anything - and i get the following error -

oh, hey...

there is a button called "show bitmaps" or soemthing if nothing shows up (liek it freezes) than your bitmap wont work (i think)

oh yeah - someone told me that i need to create an aplha layer or something... how do you do this ?

you dont NEED too, but it makes things better. making a ground texture with alpha map refer to Kirks tutorials because he does a nice job explaining it
