Usable Plasma Sword in SP

With the new plugin for HMT3 that allows for changing the user ability of a specific weapon, I imagine it's now possible for the MC to use an elite's Plasma Sword in SP. A simple weap metadata swap yields an exception error, as does a proj swap. I know the answer is right at my fingertips, but I can't quite get a grasp on it...

So I figured I'd come to the experts. Any ideas, gentlemen?

Swap the plama sword number with that of the assault rifle

well total guess but maybe change the MC to elite-change the plasma rifle to energy sword...*thinks some more* wait i don't think that is possible cause ya need an Weapon HUD

I assume you were talking about the user ability #? I tried it a number of ways and still get an exception error.

Swapping the weap metavalue always yields an exception error nomatter what the user ability # is. There has to be a way to make the energy sword a usable weapon.

Even if you do get the energy sword into your hands, you can't do anything with it, so it doesn't matter.

I use the buttons plugin, they work(I haven't tried numbers yet).

it DOES work. just change the sword to that of a usable wepon. swap it out for an assualt rifle and enjoy. it WORKS, to use it u must melee.

Are you sure? I've tested this twice, and I tried meleeing, but all I got was a grunt sticking a plasma grenade on my face at point blank range. Do you have some screenshots of you killing something with the sword?

i swapped AR with energy sword and it just completely takes away the weapon from me.

because the chief can't use an energy sword (unless you use this 'plug in') so u have to be an elite.

Even with the plugin, it is not possible for MC to USE it, you can hold it, you can melee with it, but it wont do any damage.

ya with the plug-in change the energy sword to a weapon MC can use and then swap the sword offset for a starting weapon.
no damage though?...thats pretty gay.

When you talk about swapping it, are you talking about meta value (in HMT) or hex value (in HWS)? Because pasting the energy sword meta into the AR in HMT always yields an exception error for me.

And I'm using the "bottons and numbers" plugin, btw.

Click a weapon under the weapons section. Lets use the assault rifle for an example. Click it, and go yo to the top where it says SWAP and click that. Then choose energy sword out of that box. Then click SAVE. Presto, a weapon that looks cool, but doesnt do anything :(

Exception error.

Perhaps it's the version of the new weap plugin that I'm using. Should I be using something other than the "buttons and numbers" version of it?

isn't there some type of meta # or value or somethin that could change the damaging effects when you melee with the sword????
