I have managed to get elite commanders armed with Plasma rifles into the AOtCR MP map.

brief tut of what i did.

1. Put the AI of the elite into the Wraith tanks, and de-crapped the elite model.

2. Used SparkEdit to flip a tank over so the elite fell out of the tank when it spawned. This was cool except all the elite-in-question did was stand there, shooting and waving his arms at me.

3. attempted to make the Elites re-spawn with their tanks (but wound-up freeing them to move around instead here is a step-by-step.
I. I opened the wraith info for the map in HMT 3.5
II. I copied both of the data-sets in the Meta box (ID: blahblahblah @ blahblahblah and the meta numbers) into the correstponding slots of a piece of useless scenery (the small metal piece)
III. I used SparkEdit to place more of these metal pieces. I discovered tat one was inverted, and that the elite that belonged in it was chasing after me.
IV. I ued SE to flip the rest of the tanks (except 2) over to dump out more elites, it worked, all the elites i came to chased me until i killed them.

For some reason it seems that the elites will only chase you AFTER you have made them angry or tried to run them over and they dodged, i need to investigate further.

ok, i have just been looking around, apparenly this is not anything special. I have just seen several MODs where people have made the AI charachters spawn directly w/o a vehicle. I appearent;y have been out-of-contact for far too-long. Sorry for sounding like a n00b.

Actually, the vehicle is still there, they just swapped out the bitamp with Cryoglass, deleted the model, and turned off the collision model, but the vehicle is still there.

As for the charging Elites, I think its in their AI script to charge at closest enemy when threatened.

could you be more specific about deleting the model and turning off the collision model? do you mean nulling them out with HHT? or soemthing else?

oooooor you could go on top right above those tunnels, wait for an enemy to see you on radar and go there, then rain nades from the sky!!!

Null them out with SparkEdit...it is pretty simple, that is how you would get rid of the gun and other stuff like that...it shows up as white in SE...just NULL it out and it should work... 8)

ah, that makes better sense, i ws trying to NULL the model dependencies in HHT and kept getting a MR. Exception.
