Flashing Oddball skull/Backpack mods?

For backpack mods, you get and bloodgultch.map! When I copy and past it into the Halo maps it says it's in! Then I go and play the game and I get and error?
Also I don't know where to start with the oddball mod?

rename it to bloodgulch.map without the 't'
What do you mean the oddball mod? To start with it? Open HHT, and go to [bipd], then select cyborg_mp
Now scroll to the bottomn, and you should see a slots with assault rifle, and another with pistol.
Click, on assault rifle, and on the very bottomn, open the scroll box and find ball, select it, then click swap. If you want you can swap the pistol for the AR, or any other weapon.
Now start halo, and select a gametype like slayer pro that has the starting weapons set to generic.

or he could open the map with Eschaton, and then if he wanted to do something ELSE with it (have it lying around the map) he would go to dependency swapper, go to the scnr tag (it may take a few seconds to load), then inside the scnr tag look for the weap tag, and change any weapon to ball.

sorry, I was assuming he was on PC.
For PC I prefer HMT/HHT, simply because it's quicker and easier to go through the tags. I only use eschaton for things HMT cant do.

The Oddball doesn't show up when I click inject?
I want to turn the .map to .ppf so I don't lose my other mods!

what are you clicking inject for? What inject?
click biped, then to the right in that box, you'll see a list of things open up, with classes like "coll", "mod2", ".jpt" etc., scroll to the bottomn of all of them, and you should see pistol and assault rifle. Click on the AR, and swap it with the oddball.
If you need more help, ask, but there shouldnt be any injecting involved.

This is the flashing oddball! When I download it I get a DS_Store file and a Oddball multipurpose file!
I am still not getting how to install this mod?

I remember that!
Umm, if there are any .dds files, then inject them using HMT or the eschaton bitmap demo.
IDK what a DS_STORE file is.

Thats why i posted this in the first place! don't know how to use eschaton? And when i inject into hmt it doesn;t show up?

Don't worry about the .DS_Store, that is a file from the Mac OS X filesystem. you can just delete that.
Edit, if you can see the .DS_Store, then you are on a computer running windows.

Ok! So what do I do with the oddball skull multipurpose! When I inject it into the HMT and go to oddball multipurpose and hit inject it doesn't show up? How would I change the file to .dds?

You're going to have to either import the multipurpose as an image using the Eschaton 0.7 Bitmap demo (and the skin itself most likely), or create the .dds file yourself using image manipulation programs such as photoshop with plugins to let you make dds files and then inject that file using HMTv3.5. One for each, the multipurpose and the skin itself. Mac users have this import option in their version of HMT (one of about 3 things HMT:mac can actually do) but PC users do not.

Ok I got the Oddball mod working! Now can someone help me with ppf studios? I want the backpack mod to work?

These mods are so easy to install! I just made it harder then it was!
5 simple steps took me 5 minutes!
Download the Mod and got a image and a multipurpose/ds_store file!
Screw those files! Take the actual picture of the mod and open it with bxtbmp and save that as a .dds texture!
Then opem HMT and inject it into the Ball!
SO SIMPLE A CAVEMAN COULD DO IT!
