Skin question

First, can shader_models have detail maps? And secondly, why couldn't they just put the word UNSC on the diffuse map? I thought it was because bungie was saving space by just flipping the UVW and putting directly on top of the other side's UVW so you don't have to have both sides on the same bitmap, which saves space for the rest of the stuff.Andrew_b wrote:No. You need to edit the text in the pelican detail bitmap or something.
What bungie did for text on models: They made a plane. Put it a small distance away from the model. Put a text bitmap on there. On the other side they reversely uvwed it.
