Replacing Sounds

Hi, I was wondering if there is a method to go through in order to replace sounds with your own custom sounds such as weapon fire and reload sounds ive tried to open the sound files from guns before but they seem to be a different filetype if theres any way to convert wav filetypes or mp3 i would like to know ty

The sounds are encoded in Xbox APDCM format, there for can not be opened or modified by a normal program. There are no plug-ins for any programs, nor can you decode them. Just follow Pepsi's sound tutorial here.
