changing the name of a level

hey how do you change the name of a level when you are picking what level you are going to play off the list when you open up Halo. like what mono did in his two conversions. Im pretty sure it has to do with editing the ui.map but im not sure. could someone point me in the right direction?

open ui.map in a hex editor, then search for the text string of the level name u wanna change and then edit it to whut u want it to be.
