HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Ok, anyone that has played Marathon will know what I'm saying, but if you haven't http://source.bungie.org/ (there a is a windows version there too!).

Ok so my idea is that we make a Marathon mod with all the same Weapons and Aliens an shit, but without the horrible graphics (they weren't that bad for its time tho). I have no idea why, it just sounds kick-ass from this side... any thoughts?

What are you talking about? Marathon's graphics are amazing! But sounds like a meh mod, may be interesting if done well but if not it will just suck.

He wants to put marathon on halo, not the other wy around.

being sarcastic, either that or honest. Halo does not need a marathon port, it is easier to do it on Marathon and make a Halo Port. think about it, change all the animations for the weapons, the models would be difficult, and the skinning might be a challenge because Bungie did not give us much to work with besides the bad graphical quality skins from the original game.

so no one has done a Marathon for Halo?
And I was thinking it would be a better looking marathon.
*Idea* maybe Bungie should make a Marathon 4 for XBox 360! Now that Bungie is one of the most known companies in the world, They could make:
A: A new Marathon 1 for players to understand wtf is happening
B: Create Marathon 4
C: Marathon 0.5 this way they could connect it to the end of Halo and start the beginning of Marathon (and then they could continue with Marathon 1-3 then have the universe Blow up and no one was seen again... maybe)
Either way, it sounds kickass to me

Getting off track here... This is going to lead to a topic about a "Halo 4".

this would be a good mod if the marathon game was newer and had weapons you could actually distinguish.
