hey i pmi'd some guys into my map (jackal,hunter,marine,elite and grunt) but say i wanted the marines on my side how would i do that every time i change there team to human it dont work its geting my frustrated and its probly the simplest solution to thxs if u can help me

Here's an interesting theory I had a while back.

Ok, so AI that is PMI-d into another map sucks, so what if instead of PMI-ing them into a map, we PMI'd the map over to them?

Basically, do a SP->MP, but in reverse, replacing the starting BSP of a SP map with the Multiplayer BSP. Since you couldn't get to the loading area for the second SP BSP, it would never kick you out of the map. Then just open sparkedit and move around the AI into where you want them to go. Now you have a MP map with AI in it that is actually inteligent.


They wouldn't respawn, but unless Im mistaken neither do the ones now.


Tell me if there are any flaws here, it was just a day-dream about 6 months ago tbh.

realistically, i can't see that ever working. It's far easier to modify a scenario in sapien and then rebuild it into an mp map

actually, with harbinger, you could make intelligent ai on teams without any pmi at all, you could just make the entire thing in sapien

Yes, CE would be unbelievably easier, but most of the noob-to-mid modders hear CE and are like "ok, I quit nvm."
