make the console work

(I have no halo.exe just halo)I keep trying to make the console and when i put -console at the end of my halo file it prevents it from going past the company credits.

Ok full tutorial
on your desktop right click the halo icon
then go to ''properties''
After wher it says "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe"
Put (space)-console.
So it looks like this
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\halo.exe" -console
Where i say space put a space
Then when your hosting a game click this '' ` '' (its below the escape key.
and type in
sv_ban (players name/#)
sv_kick (players name/#)
to kick and ban people.. and im guessing this is what you want because i dont no what you mean where it says credits.
If you have no Halo.exe put in
Halo.exe" and i dont no if trial is the problem.

i mean by credits is like the bungie thing when you start halo and im running vista

Ok you have 2 options
1: Uninstall halo thenInstall DONT REinstall
2: click follow this path Click the CD drive halo is in..click files cab and look for the opening credits, then copy them in to the folder where the bungie/bik and stuff is.

Dude. Halo is just a shortcut. Halo.exe is the actual executable.

ok that was computer lag I put it there fine but console doesnt show up

where it says spas but a space,

Well this worked on windows XP and now its not working. and about halo being a shorcut im in my my halo folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Halo

Vista is not bad, its just there so many changes people dont no what to do
thats just my opinion, and I donno why it done work for you.. wait which button on you pressing to activate console?

ok you either have halo.exe or halo.app you don't have halo.app you have halo.exe, the extension (.exe) is probably hidden.
