[WIP] Beam Rifle

Well, got bored 2 day so i decided to make this:

I only worked maybe 30 mins on it so not gonna look to great, and this is the first model I've really ever psted and havn't been modeling for that long.
no pics of ingame yet cuz i didnt make the skin i'll post some prob sometime 2day


EDIT: Well, after playing some guitar hero, i decided to get some more of it done XD it looks pretty weird rite not, all u did was cange part of the bitmap and then i made custom reticle and pickup

As you can see I'm having problems with the needles...that y i should have used another wep sigh, ok, well im gonna go try to fix the needles and then i'll update again.

Whats it a remodel of? Plasma Rifle right?

I did this with a pistol once, looked pretty good in the third person, but lookd like crap in FP, especially when it shot. It was a quick two minute job really.

Actually, needler and ty, the model looks decent, but im having fits with the skin, ill post some pics lmao :lol:

You know what might be really easy to do and work really well, is to do that normal-mapping filter. It would make it lightish blue. The needler is hard b/c the skin is really stretched over the model. Good luck with this.

IMO, Needler wont look as good as a P-Rifle, because of how the chief holds it. Thats the reason the pistol one sucks in FP.

Yeah, its not the model of the needles, its the needler plasma mask.dds you need to change in the bitmaps section, simply save that bitmap, open it up and color it all black and re-inject it, then they will be gone.

ty, ive been looking for that bitmap, i was messing with dif shaders trying to null em out and something messed up with my model for some reason and then i tries to reinject and said there was 2 many verts so im just going to start over lol, there was a lot wrong with that model anyway, and i dont want to use my p rifle cuz i want to try a sword and mess with some shaders XD

well you can do both, and have both in the same map using a very simple PMI. You'll have two seperate Plasma Rifles with seperate bitmaps, seperate models, seperate weap tags, seperate proj tags, etc. etc.

you'll have two of everything.
