Shooting in bursts

i want my weapon to shoot a burst of 2 instead of 3. So i divided 0.146 by 3 and then multiplied that number 2 i got an average of 0.097. Now shouldnt this make the gun shoot 2 bullets if you press the trigger. When i try it, it only shoots one and only shoots when i let go of the trigger. ill keep trying numbers but meh, does anyone know if it works?
