HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I was hoping to see many pc modders come together, like halo 2, and create a "why we mod" video. You know when you make a mod, like warthog with hydraulics lets say , but when people join, and you kill them, they say CHEATER! HACKER! NOOB YOU NEED CHEATS TO WIN! When all you did was make the hog have hydraulics, or something. Maybe you are cheating, but that doesn't matter. I want to get tons of clips of the greatest mods out there, put them in an amazing video, and post it somewhere like youtube. I have an expensive video edit program, 300 bucks, and i never use it. Maybe this is my time to use it. So, if you can help with making some clips, a mod, or even some simple bitmaps or so, this can be GREAT! Pepsi, your redux mod would be a great way to intro.
Oh and, if you guys want someone else to make the video, im ok with that, im just here to post the idea and (maybe) make the video

Permission is obviously required, and song ideas would be cool too. The remix of the song in the halo 2 why we mod was cool, but it would kinda make it look like were copying TOO MUCH. All helpers will be noticed in the video.

EDIT: Oh and im not trying to brag about my program, i don't think I should have bought it anyway...

Don't worry, you aren't bragging, $300 is cheap. But sounds like a nice idea!

oh yeah, lol, forgot about those halo ce users who spend 3 grand on 3ds max... Yeah, if you guys can post links, or pm me, or whatever, I'll gladly take some clips or whatever to create this vid. A good song idea would help too. Something that goes with modding. a good rock song or something, not like barbie girl or a sad song. so... mods, skins, clips, or song ideas are very much appreciated. I'll put in my own hydraulic warthog mod too i've never seen someone do it in pc, even though its very simple...

Pepsi, i use adobe after effects, which can be used for lots of video editting. Many people use it to do rotoscoping, and make lightsaber effects for short films with lightsabers. It actually looks real if you do it right. So, its a pretty cool but confusing program. Not for those easily annoyed with too many buttons

oh and, andrew, if you want me to use that, it would be better in a form I could use, not just a link...

What kind of music are you aiming for? Do you want rock, techno, or just anything with a fast beat? I've got some ideas.

probably something like a rock or techno beat. Not too techno, that'll sound kinda weird. and, like on my portal application tutorial, i used multiple songs interweaved. I'd like to do the same here.

Halo by the Foo Fighters. haha Great song, has nothing to do with halo, but it says it and the song is named halo.

The intro of Blue Monday by New Order could be cool, and some Disco Science by Mirwais can't hurt anyone.
