injecting custom cubemaps into halopc?

we all know that hmt wont extract cubemaps properly or inject them for that matter due to the 64x64 error.

ive made a few custom cubemaps for my mod and was wondering if there was a way to inject these back into my maps via another program. im sure they can be hexed edited to reflect the changes i made, but i looked around and didnt see anything dealign with that.

i do have the full stock cubmap for the map.
i do have the edited one to replace it.

just wondering how i can inject the modified one?
is there a process of using hex editing on the stock and reinjecting?

if your answer to this is anywhere near..

"just use hmt and extract the cubemap, edit it, and then re-inject! works me!"

please dont reply cause your wasting sql space.

thx in advance for any help with this.

So what you're saying is that you're cubemap is larger than 64x64? If so, honestly i do not think there is a nother way to inject bitmaps. I've asked the question similar to this before a while ago.

halo cube maps are 64x384. hmt is what makes then 64x64 when extracting cause its only extracting one side. ive asked malolo about CE prospects on doing this but he drew a blank so im asking out loud now.

/sigh
Get on MSN at some point and i will look more closely into the data types, it should just be a matter of going into the offset and pasting DDS data without a header.
