I have rebuilding problems

I've tried to rebuild two maps, b40 and c20, with no success. They build fine, and c20 even opens in SparkEdit. But they both cause exceptions, even when I don't mod them.
I've been through all the usual procedures, such as re-installing and re extracting. I've even read a tutorial so that I didn't miss anything like copying the BSP chunk.
Is there anything I have to do for these maps, specifically? You know, like sidewinder and icefields have the famous 'missing tree'. I also know that you have to do an 'SP' rebuild. I have rebuillt a50 and b30 successfully before.
If you help, and I get these maps to work, you will get credit in the final mod. :)

Do Those maps have Detail Object Collisions?

If they do, that might be the problem. If not, I dont know. Sorry.

Yes they do. Well, at least I think so.
Would that matter though? Becuase b30 has one. :?

I'm not really sure, but whenever I did a SP-MP, it failed and everyone said that was why. It might be different for a regular SP rebuild, but what's happening to you is EXACTLY what happened to me, I could open in Sparkedit, HMT, HHT etc., but when I tried to open it it failed.

Well you might as well do a ce>pc sp>mp. It makes all bsp's successful. It's basically the same thing but you compile the map in ce and change the header, rest is the same thing.

Did I say anything about an SP>MP?

I'm trying to rebuild single player maps, not convert them. :|

did you try just batch extracting and rebuilding without adding anything (aside from doing whatever extra things you need to do to rebuild SP maps)
If it doesn't work when you added nothing, then it is HMT's fault, and you're basically screwed. Unless you are clever and can fix it
