Well, i'm done with the other stuff i've made, and working on a new mod for death island. It includes a new cliff texture, lots of blowing snow, ground textures, and i attempted to make the ocean ice....but couldnt. So, i did the best i could with a few dependancy swaps. This mod was inspired by a snowsquall which happened today in atlantic canada and was horrible.
Also, i've done somethin special to the warthog's tires.
I will be getting more screenshots soon. And some things have been changed since this screenshot was taken. (The snow to be exact)

Well, I'm making the chained tires for te rocket warthog and scorpion also. There are going to be that new master chief model (will be in all my mods), lots of new scenery, including trees and rocks from the assault on the control room because they are snowy. There's gunna be lots of basic tag editing, sparkedit changes, and a user friendly user interface.

look into the physics of the wathog and you should be able to give it's tires more friction
also... try this. open hht, go to the sky tag and null out the sun (optional). then, go into the maw in hmt and extract the sky of doom tiled bitmap
back in deathisland, inject that into the starts bitmap
use dependency swaps to null out the blue sky, ring, and planets
now you will have a nice looking overcast sky (so it's not snowing from nowhere)

Bahh, I was going to say that.
I would reskin the sky personally, and skin the clouds as well.

I see little point in adding chains to a tanks tracks you know...their designed to run over anything including ice and the like...

I dont understand why the tank moves so slow. Real tanks go fast as hell through all sorts of terrain, why 500 years into the future have they slowed down?

I am in the process of reskinning the sky the best i can, but i think i wont have to now from that suggestion patrick gave me.
EDIT: I've succesfully added the "erriewind" and "windswirl" sounds into the map.

Don't add the sound, add the looping sound, the swap it into the BSP.
