look here for my problem: http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=68403

Ok, i was thinking one day, what if the sounds.map cab file on my disc is somehow corrupt, so i checked out the file sizes of bloodgulch from the CABs, Bitmaps from the CABs, and bloodgulch.map and bitmaps.map from my backed up hard drive (i tried using the pre-installed halo, but no luck.)

And guess what, they were the same sizes.

I did the same check on my sound.map CAB and recovered sound.map from the MAPS folder of an old halo.

Should i replace the CAB with the map from my recovered and risk having to buy another CD?

also, can you guys check your CABs to see if yours is the same size?

My sounds.map is: 208 MB (218,464,450 bytes)

If the 20.8 MB is on the disk, then somethings wrong...

@Mo|)_M4n - Where did 20.8 MB come from?
@ peow - I couldn't get the RAM checker to work, lousy program.
@Andrew - Get live.

no.
the files on your disc are super small because they're compressed, something else is your problem.

But every map except for the sounds.map is the same size in the CAB and in my other directory.
