I'm kind of a noob to modding. How do you inject .rar?

.rar is a compression format similar to .zip, you need to uncompress the file first.

Dependening on your platform use either WinRar (windows) or UnrarX (mac os).

Well, I run a mac. Winrar is for PC by the looks of it. I have found a few mods for mac that require it. Where could I find a mac compatable version?

Exporting/Importing Models by Totakeke

In this tutorial, we are going to export the Warthog model, edit it, and import it back in Blood Gulch.

1. Open bloodgulch.map in HMT. Scroll down to the mod2 section and look for the vehicles/warthog/warthog. Save the meta nonrecursively onto the desktop.

2. Open OBJConverter and click on the Open button. Choose bloodgulch.map, and then select the meta you saved onto your desktop.

3. Now, make sure that the Geometries tab at the bottom is selected, and select the first geometry in the list in the middle of the window, then select Geometry 1 and then part 0. Click on the

There is no way to make custom animations in Halo PC without first making them with Halo CE and a 3d modeling program like 3ds Max. Custom animations is an advanced skill in Halo CE mapping. Once a map is made containing the custom animations, the tags can then be converted to PC.

Ookay, Yeah I know, up to the brim with issues with this stuff. Insertion was a breeze with the steps, but when I went to go test the model out, It crashed my computer. Error in the model or myself?

error in what you did. a model itself will not cause Halo to crash.

Well, I'm still having issues. I do get confused at the part where I have to change all vert and inds of other parts in Geom 1. I'm trying to edit the AR model, and in Geom 1, there is only part 0. enlighten me on what to do if possible?

Well, here's what I'd suggest.

Before you try messing with models and crap, try doing the entire tutorial that comes with HMT, that should answer some questions, bring up later ones, and save us some time.

he is on a mac, there is no tutorials that come with HMT.

Well, there are a few tuts, but none that explain it. Well, the one bcnipod posted is in there, but I'm still damn confuzzled x.x

By Geom 1, does it the first one in the list, that would be Geom 0 x.x Or Geom 1, because 0 has more than 1 part.
