i have halo trial, and am finding it hard to PMI.

on b30, i want to extract a raw model. but, it brings up an "unhandled exception" saying: "index was outside the bounds of the array."

when i tried applying sparkify to b30, when i load it in HMT it brings up another unhandled exception saying "arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow".

how do i PMI in trial???

god dammit, i am sick and tired of people telling me to get the full version!!!

1.i have about 200MB(yes, its that low) of free space on my tiny hard disk.
2.im too lazy to walk to future shop.
3. all of my friends have the trial, and i want to share my mods with em.

if you dont have a solution, or anything useful to say, dont say anything.

PS. sorry for rudeness, but people like you really annoy me.

wow way to flame. anyway why is it that you only have 200MB free? there are such things as external drives I got one that is 500GB for about $120.

WilltheOct, people like you annoy me.

-Instead of posting a new topic, use the search button. There have been plenty of topics involving PMI and Trial.

-Instead of Flaming people for telling you that you should buy the actual version of the game, go buy the damn thing

-You can't PMI on trial, Period. You can't do it now, you cant do it later, you cant do it ever, unless someone makes uber-hax, which nobody will. I will guarantee that.

-Download the BYOM map or stop being lazy, get off of your computer and go walk to your 'future store' and spend the (GASP) 15 dollars it will cost to make it so you can actually accomplish something with modding.

Sorry for the flame, but hopfully I answered some questions in there as well.

Anyway, buy more hardrive space cause 200 MB is absolutely rediculously small. And if you get your version of full.....nevermind. let's stop here.

Full to trial we do not do as its illegal and would ruin halo full.

the answer to your problem is to buy halo full or download byom

1.Go buy a better harddrive.
2.You will get NO-WHERE if you are lazy as a modder.

Spikes i fully understand how people can use hex HMT, but unless I'm mistaken it requires a copy of full to get certain files anyway, which wouldn't help him, and even if it didn't, It's not exactly easy to get your hands on

how about this simple fact.

95% of us modders here are on full halo. when someone releases a mod for trial we dont download or at least i never have. i look at your pics and base judgment on thoes. making mods for trial and them being taken seriously is rare and hard in my honest opinion. there have been a few exceptions in the past with awesome trial mods but nothing i can remember clearly standing out in my mind at this moment.

halopc is only $15 in a bargain bin. if you dont have $15, then i can only conclude you need a job seriously. i spend that much going to and from work every other day (psi REALLY needs to come down with gas prices these days) and for me at least looking to PMI and mod on trial is only hadicapping yourself in the long run.

so you make some ubder sweet map with alot of uber things in it... and.. its trial.

skip thread. next mod.

i dont have trial like so many others here. sure you want to make mods for your friends to play on but why handicap yourself with limited resources. i dont and still dont get the logic of modding halo trial. im not bashing trial modders but theres so much more you can do for a mere $15.

i was just pissed because the last 3 forums(game making and such), when i would ask a question, they would give me the alternative, which i clearly stated that i would not want.

if you could clearly confirm that there is no PMIing in trial, go ahead, but dont say "go buy the full version.".

200 MB is pretty high... for a computer that started off with 10GB and has alot of game installed..

anyway, i deleted all my corrupted halo maps, and now have 1 GB.

also, what is this BYOM of which you speak?

Ahh, the BYOM.

It's a map made by 'sword and Phenomena, you probably know Phenom from his plugin-packs with HMT, and 'sword is a VERY good modder, unless I'm mistaken he's on a MAC.

Im pretty sure they basically invented the PMI into Trial, they severely hex-edited the trial bloodgulch map and HMT, and using files from the full maps, PMI-d a whole bunch of crap into Bloodgulch. Only stuff that was actually in Trial though, so it's perfectly legal.

There was no mod, just the added tags, BYOM= Build Your Own Mod.

Basically, it's a PMI'd Trial map witha whole lotta crap in it, and it's meant so Trial modders have more tags to make their mods with.

Do a search for it, You'll find it just fine.

I almost miss modding on Trial, it was so care-free, I could swap Plasma Nades with the shotgun pellet, and have it be the coolest thing ever.
Now to make me feel like I did something worthwhile I need to do Multiple PMI's, Duplicated Tags, etc. etc. etc., I dont even mod anymore. It just died for me. I don't want to do it anymore, I make models, but that's it.

It kinda sucks. But I help other people, usher in the next age of modding.

haha.
