Ai Rof

You know how the campaign difficulty levels change the Ai's rate of fire? Is there a way to disable this? I know this has been done before.

Also, is there a way to make the Ai's fire their weapon the same way they do in legendary all the time? Even on easy?

Note: I have a mac :P

um the ROF of the AI is the same because they are limited to the ROF of the gun they are using. so the ROF in each level is the same. the AI in easy is more timid, so they use their weapons less than the AI for Legendary, where the AI is much more aggressive than easy, so they will use their weapons more.

Wrong.
Every difficulty setting has a different ai ROF whose values of multiplication are in the globals. (matg tag)

Break down of difficulty and ROF

difficulty : rof

easy : 0.8
normal : 1
hard : 1.2
impossible : 1.5

I think i released a matg plugin for eschaton that can edit those values a while back. (otherwise its sitting in my plugin folder all lonely)

I used eschaton 0.5.1 and looked within the matg tag but I didn't find anything to do with difficulty, just other stuff.

each weapon has a set ROF. this is true, the AI does not have a ROF in the same sense. They AI will use the gun more on harder difficulty levels. I can set the ROF of a gun to 0 in campgain and they will not be able to fire the gun. because the gun has a set ROF. they AI will use the gun more. otherwise what would be the point have having a ROF for a gun.

yeah , i agree they have different ROF.hmm i think for disabling the rof you might edit the biped or the actr variant.or if they dont work the only 2 ways are :
CE
editing the weapon - that will cost you - you will play with changed ROF too.

He's absolutely right. There are all kinds of nice little multipliers for these sort of things in the matg (surprisingly even MP ones). Recharge rate, shield percentage, ROF, and even damage it looks like. All with indicators for difficulty and whether it's enemy, friendly or flood. It's a shame conure has been lazy and not finished all of his plugins of sheer awesomeness. Here's where you can most of the current ones. Matg is in there which is all that matters for the purpose of this discussion.

Note: remember to enable entity style plugins in the preferences.
