It is simple. Open Halo Map Tools 3, open any level with Wraith tanks. select the Wraith, and you will see where it says "seat name" it says "wraith-driver" change it to B-driver. Start the level, and get an empty Wraith. (you will have to overturn it so the elite falls out. I recommend turning another vehicle or something into wraith, so you don't have to knock the elite out.) It will say, press 'E' to enter driver seat of Banshee. press 'E', and you're in! Unlike playing as an Elite, you can get back out!

Now start blowing things up!

ive got something that goes hand-in-hand with this (more-or less). I managed to place a Wraith in BG instead of a scorp, bit i cant neither see it nor can i get in it (soon to be rectified, thanks). it is there, but it isnt visible. it just shows a small sliver of purple. the model is there, but no textures. any ideas? ( i did the by the extraction/rebuild method and just replaced the scorpion refrecences in the globals.matg.xml and bloodgulch.scnr.xml files.)

whenever i try to inject a wraith into blood gulch, i get exception data errors.

damn my AotCR map must be screwed damnit! i want to try this so bad

there is a way to get a wraith without turning it over, on AotC (im pretty sure) after you get the sniper with 8 rounds you gotta walk down the side of the moutain or what ever. but at the bottom you will see a wraith without a driver. just keep your eyes on it and keep walking down, you should see a elite jump in just after one of the checkpoints, SNIPE HIM FIRST. it will prob take a little time and practice.

also you can get out of the wraith by flipping it.

Or you could keep the elites form getting in by turning the elites into something like a grunt

Yeah, but sometimes u have a bad angle, and u can't snipe him.

Wierd, mine sill had "Press E to enter driver seat of Wraith." Meh, I could still get out...

my HMT3 tells me that there is an error or something whenever i try and type in the name.. now i have to re install cause i didnt make a backup

u sure u typed it right?

can u actually see the wraith or is it invisible?
also to make it easier u could change the elites to something else or change the warthog to a wraith.

Of course u can see it, unless it's in multiplayer or something.

if you want a drivable wraith in BG that looks somewhat like a wraith first you have to get the wraith into BG, theres a million topics on it go find one but here is what you do to make it not look like complete crap. ok go to a map with a normal wraith in it, such as b40. ok go to PcModels and find teh wraith. Export both models there. Now reopen BG and inject those models in place of teh messed up ones already there. ok it will still look like total crap but it resembles a wraith and it wont have the lines and planes all over teh place. there is a chance that that might also mess up the sniper rifle model so check that. unfortantly you cant reinject a new SR i tried. insted just replace teh sniper with something else.
