Ok, heres a quick intro:

Those little dots you see in the wireframe are the points that control how the model looks, if you move one, the model changes shape, So basically, you want to move around the points until you get something you like. Every point is connected to another, but not all points are connected.

what i mean by that is that there are some parts of the model that you can take off and move, without messing up the rest of the model.

for example, the blue dot on the assault rifle, the scope on the sniper, the barrel of the AR, and by moving these parts you can make your model look much MUCH better.

For example, moving the barrel from the tip of the AR, put the blue dot on the front of it and move it up top to make a scope.

Mess around with the program, and remember that you CANNOT add or remove any indices or vertices (the little dots). That means that you cant add anything to it, only move stuff around thats already there.

Ahh, that one's a not so tricky once you look at it a bit. Basically here's what you wanna do:

Move the back of the gun so it's more squred off, and move the verts around the hole in the Assault Rifle so there is no hole.

Next, select the barrel and move it to the top of the gun, and right around the middle is this circle shaped thing, move that up and rotate it so it fits right next to the barrel.

Make sure you didn't select the safety of the gun. It should be perfectly round.

Now i would move the flashlight part of the gun (it's located on the front) up to where the barrel was, and scale it down, make the end of it slightly frayed.

Finally go to the grip of the gun, flatten it out a bit, and then pull down some of the verts to make a handle like the BR has. It should look pretty simmilar now. Try messing around with the top to make the gap that the BR has, here's What i managed to make in like 10-15 minutes:

Ok, let me see if i can get a picture for you. Here, there are a bunch of different zooms, what you want to select is in red, so kind of follow it in, and only select the circle.

I used to have Xfire, but i uninstalled it, I'll probably re-install it sometime soon, I'm pretty sure it was 'Deadhamst3r'.

Somebody stole my name. On Xfire and on Xbox Live. Jerk.

Uhh, yeah sure, I'll do one right now if you want me to, It'll probably be something with the sniper rifle, I've found that it's one of the easiest to work with and Lots of possibilities with it. Just need to find a screen catpure program that takes up less space then FRAPS, and that will actually capture the screen and not just games and stuff.

To Google...Away!

:flies away:

:flies back now that another post was posted:

If you don't like milkshape or your trial ran out, use Misfit Modeler. It's completely free, and is a very good program, and unlike GMax, it actually works with OBJ without scripting and going through all sorts of confusion.
