Conversion Goodness

Yes, I know I realized I was leaving mainstream modding. Well, by that I meant this site. I'm mod director over at BG:H so that would involve modding. Well that said. I've made a small conversion of The Maw (I hope to release today or tomorrow)

No offense kid, but don't release this.

Anyone with 2 brain cells can convert a map seeing as how Mono made it so easy with 3.5. Unless this map can fly or something else extremely cool, don't release it. Gren's bandwidth is over filled as it is.

I've worked out most of the kinks in it (both bases now spawn). So all I need to do is finish blue base, make a couple skins. Then I'll release it tonight.

I'm not hosting it here...I have other places to put it...

And to in reply to the 'something better be very cool' part. There will be, I'm adding alot of covie AI. I'm going to reinact from The Flood when Humans went to pick up Supplies from PoA. So it'll be cool...(That's the second version, maybe sometime next week)

Yeah I tryed d40_a & e but e didn't work and a sucked. Or I think so. It was really dark on mine but my friend thought it rocked.

ya u did an awesome job with fixing the junglish look to it. the first try wasnt so good lol it was a bunch of green splotches on dirt. IM me wen u finish the textures and want me 2 make the ppf for u...if im still up :?

I'm also going to reskin every vehicle and weapon.
Thank God that texture reskins for these maps aren't madatory to have... Hog skins, etc., that is.

(Hates skins.)

(Hates anything that dares touches his bitmaps file.)

(Hates anything that makes his computer run like a fat boy after a doughnut for 5 minutes while replacing his #W$#$%ed up bitmaps file.)

Well, the .ppf for the landscape would be nice. It'd make it look a lot better at anyrate...

Me too...but not if it's good...

I tried converting this but HMT had a fit and started telling me that I needed non existent files....it said:

"An unhandled exception has occured in your application." Blah blah blah...

But the important bit was:

"Could not find file "D\My Documents\Halo guides and pics\Mods\Maw Exterior Experiment (yes, EXPERIMENT, my release was gonna be different)\Build Folder\levels\d40\d40.sbsp.meta."

So anyway I read the tutorial over and over, but I didn't see anything about this needing to be there, so...ummm...HELP!

I'm converting b40_a right now, following the tutorial to the letter. (Well actually not, because the directories are different, Halo is on D: and I have only a few hundred Mb on C:....it's scary how fast I can fill a hard drive....)
