troubles with a certain vehicle

im having trouble importing a pelican on a map.
every time i rebuild the map with the peli in there, add it with sparkedit. and try to play it on halo....
Gathering exception data!
can anyone help me out?

Ok, first make sure you rebuild it correctly, add the pelican, pelican bitmaps, decrapped models, everything else. Second, swap out any vehicle for the pelican, for example switch the rockethog with the pelican.
Then switch the seat name to w-driver, and it should work. Is that all you PMI'd into the map? What else did you put in?

i added all of the data from the vehicles\pelican folder
i decrapped the model
said yes to the verticies and indicies prompts and located the verticies.new and indicies.new files. said yes to the 3rd question
i also renamed all seat marker names from P to GT (i used gun turret.)except for the cargo one. (not too sure what to do with that one)
and i imported the pelican tag to the scenario with sparkedit.
is there something i missed?
just in case if this helps , im using the map infinity.

when does it crap out? When you try to enter it or as soon as the game loads?
I would try HMT instead of sparkedit first and foremost.
If not, try to rebuild the map, and if it still doesn't work then that's odd.
Also, if you added any marines or flood into the map: EVEN if they're not on the map yet, you have to start over and delete a certain folder before the rebuild. But it doesnt sound like you did so thats not the problem

I dont think hes on trial, if he is i'd be shocked.
To rebuild so with a normal non-hacked HMT is literaly impossible on trial, Phenom and 'Sword used a hex-edited HMT 'Sword made to do so with the BYOM map, and from what i hear they dont like to release the HMT, since people good rip from full to trial with it.
Oh BTW, Sebris:
I'm rebuilding infinity with a pelican in it, on top of a lot of other stuff right now:
Flood Elite, Flood Human, Elite, Grunt, Flood Infection, Flood Carrier, Jackal, Jackal Major, Elite Special, Hunter, Monitor(Guilty Spark), Marines, C-Dropship Guns and the Sentinels.
All of those things have AI in the mapfile as well
Two seperate assault rifles, two seperate pistols and two seperate frag grenades, so that you could in example, have an Assault Rifle, Battle Rifle, Pistol, Magnum, Frag and Brute grenade all in one map, all with diferent models and bitmaps.
Also putting in a sword (weap not vehicle) for the elites and those Lifepod things that fly away from the Pillar of Autumn.
Want a copy?
Edit: If anyone wants this in a different map i'd be happy to do so, It's not that hard to do at all.
