there is nothing wrong with vista. If u have a good gfx card and a decent amount of ram, it runs fine. Everything ive had on xp works for vista, except this, but this isnt me its my friend. And i dont want to just be like FU friend install xp. So someone please help

I have vista. Programs work for me... Rarely they don't.
HMT works for me.
I agree with ^ (the first part)
Well, the only thing i can say is to right click halo map tools, select properties, then compatibility tab, then select run compatibility for this program for windows XP. I am not sure if that will work, but you can try.

uhhh.... why is telling him too install a SECONDARY OS saying FU to your freind. if you install it as a secondary OS you will be able to chooose between xp and vista while your computer is booting. and by the way ive played with vista. i cant stand it at all. it reall really pisses me off just useing it.

ok it pisses you off...doesnt piss me off. I can sit here all day pressing flag + tab. I like vista, and everything works for me. part of it is halo 2 vista players usually want the cheapest way of playing h2v...they dont care about the fact that they are getting a new os...they just see this as a way to play halo 2 vista...look at the back, there are 4 versions of vista. if you buy home basic...you may think it sucks.. With home premium i am happy.

ummmm ur dumb i know how to dual boot, but it doesnt work out to well for vista and xp if u want access to the whole drive because giving yourself those privelaes can result in horrible consequences. Plus, hes not the brightest and its a shared computer. So i dont want the rest of his family getting angry.

who? wanksta isnt dumb...just if you have a terabyte harddrive..you could of 2 OS with no problem. (that would be XP programs, and Vista programs also...not just the OS)
