is there a way that anyone knows or in theory that a person or vehicle can go through the border between the top and bottom side of the map? i was thinking, a projectile can go through it why cant a person or vehilce? would there be a way to trick the map into thinking the vehicle and person are a projectile? its probably a stupid thought but thats all i came up with

Actually i believe that's the ceiling height stopping you,http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=58746, use that tutorial to get rid of the ceiling height and then that will stop all those barriers i believe. Yes i know it says for trial, but it does in-fact work for PC too.

nope, nothing to do with ceiling height... i tried it 5 differant ways.. honestly i've never seen or herd about a map where you can cross the barrier.

um projectiles dont go through the ceiling...they either explode or stop at the ceiling. the barrier keeps the vehicles from going higher....but the projectiles do not get out of the map. and just fyi its best to stay in the bsp of a map or else youll fall, and die; or you will fall, and keep falling forever

well there is a way, i though of it more as a glitch though i was playing with the hogs physics in hex editor and some how everytime i went into the passenger seat i would fall through it into this blue hell. i could still jump around and nade and everything, but ran out of nades and couldn't kill myself so i had to quit. its definitely possible but your going to have to isolate some sort of hex address, (maybe the cheat?)

edit: oops! andrew_b beat me to it!!

:P basicly no one wants to play outside of the bsp...

no, i'm not talking about going outside the map, i'm talking about the barier that seperates the top section that you can only teleport to and the bottom floor.. you cant fly a banshee up there from the bottom... and you cant walk off the top, but you can shoot down

Ya the part you are talking about if i understand right is the invisible wall that is perpendicular to the ground right? If you are talking about what i think you are talking about that is actually part of the BSP, so unless u gona go play with material IDs dont even bother.

It doesn't have anything to do with material ID's, they don't use shaders.
In 3ds max it would have a material called *, theres a bunch of other symbols that do stuff like climbale or breakable surfaces.

You'd have to export the BSP, then recompile it in tool, and convert it to PC. When you use the BSP tag convert it doesn't include the sky or invisible walls though.

i wouldnt argue with conure if i was you.....

Nah hes right ducktape, i was thinking in terms of max materials as shaders (which they are in max >.>) and also some parts in the shader model bout double sided.....
The actual part is the collision BSP section, bunch of check marks.... :)

**respect to Malolo420**

But i can say right now u dont need to use CE, hex editing works fine :P
