mod help

my friend recently asked to make a mod that is in bloodgulch or any level. What he wants is a pretty dark level (doesnt have to be pitch black) with only snippers. you would have to you night vision on the sniper to really see the level. basicly a bloodgulch at night. I have the night completly dark with only fog up in the sky and stars. but my level is still lit up. I tried messing with the shaders but i had no luck. If you know how to make bloodgulch really dark please respond here.

NOTE: im not changing the bitmaps to a shade of black because he wants the map to be able to turn on your flashlight and see the grass and dirt.

I know i have to editer the environment shader or something...please help.

i cant help you, sounds like a bitmap thing to me but i'm a noob, but it sounds cool to me too

does any one know how to do this. i read something about the lightmaps. Please help. This mod would be awesome for PC, because i have alot of things planned.

Yep you gota edit the lightmaps bitmap (levels\test\(level name)\(level name). You have to reduce the brightness of the bitmaps if i remember right.....
Now if you were really lazy you would just compile new lightmaps in CE.

in HMT they show up as black pictures. what exactly do i edit? are they actual pictures that dont show up in HMT?

and is there a link where i can download the bitmaps to make bg all dark?
