Well, there's going to be a crapload of conversions coming down the pipe soon. Different variations of the hanger, a10_space, The Maw BSPs, and so forth will be released by different people. Already in IRC, some guy got the crap flamed out of him because he said he was trying to convert the a10_hanger BSP. I say we divide it like this:

Hunter (500 Posts)+ Mappack
- Only Hunters or above can add maps to the mappack, which will be run on a dedicated server.
- There will be different BSPs, and will be available to convert at a first come, first serve basis.

Jackal (100 - 499 Posts) Mappack
- Only Jackals will be allowed to enter maps into the mappack, which will run on its own dedicated server.
- Maps in other mappacks WILL BE ALLOWED to be put into this mappack.
- There will be different BSPs, and will be available to convert at a first come, first serve basis.

Grunt (0 - 99 Posts) Mappack
- Only Grunts will be allowed to enter maps into the mappack, which will run on its own dedicated server.
- Maps in other mappacks WILL BE ALLOWED to be put into this mappack.
- There will be different BSPs, and will be available to convert at a first come, first serve basis.


So, if the idea is excepted, post HERE!!

If any will volunteer to reserve BSPs for their respective categories, they may do so now.

Only thing whats getting on my nerves is that seek failed error in sparkedit, everything else works fine, or seems to work fine...Apart from that falling through the map thing....AotCR works apart from that.

Of course now you do realise people will spam these forums to hell to get their post count up...

acutally, lets all say what maps were releasing so we can work on having them all in the same mappack, in that case (look up)...

This is not right. If a person converts a map they should be able to release. I know their will be a whole lot of conversions but this is like being banned from making conversions. Why would I or anyone else waste their time making their very own conversion. When they CANT release it. what would happen to a person who posted their conversion when say Joe The Hunter+ wasnt done with his. Ill tell you that person would get flamed to death. when his might even be better than Joes. Its just my opinion i dont agree with not being able to release a map just because some other guy made it to. It could be completely different and bended to your will and you couldnt release it? Sorry about the rambling but I feel strongly on the matter. and this is wrong btw.

i dont wanna flame but i say this is stupid. we should all be able to post and mod what we want. i for one will do what i choose. and so should everyone else. the conversion isnt the most important part its what is put into the mod. and how its done and the creativity used. so as for me.

One more thing: (basically a request, driven by curiosity, and the fact that the bsp was mentioned)

I converted a10_space about 2 weeks ago, and am currently working to make it a good flying-vehicle mod (nothing amazing, i'm just doing it for fun). I would like to see screens of it from someone else, because I have a reason to believe that one can not convert it using hmt 3.5. Don't go out of your way to do it, I would just like to see a screen from someone who has converted it.
