Hey guys, I'm new to the scene, and after a vicious battle with that outrageous confirmation code thingamabob, I finally was able to register.

I'd like to know if someone could help with a small little mod that I want to do. As of right now, I'm really not happy with the way the assault rifle shoots. It feels more like a smg than a rifle. After all my years with counter-strike, I find myself using exclusively pistols and snipers. Is there any way to tighten the spread on the assault rifle so I can better predict where it's going to shoot?

Thanks in advance.

*sigh*

I really hate sounding like a nub forumite, but I can't seem to find hmt. I've googled it only to get some estranged websites that are so unorganized it's impossible to actually find the file. Anyone got a direct link to the installer (the link should probably be a sticky).

Halomods forums: Halo PC: Utilities: Stickies: HMT v3.5

Utilities forum ftw!

P.S.
Make sure to have the .Net framework installed or it will fail.

Well, I opened hmt, and everything starts just dandy. I opened up a10 and tried to mess with the spread settings on the assault rifle. Whenever I touch the value boxes, I get an error saying "Error while trying to update and write structure."

Whatever can the problem be?

i made a big long post about this before... but im too lazy to retype so... you get a quote :D
me from ModHalo.net wrote:yes, if you're completely errasing the original value then you will get that error, just ignore it or if you are doing a number greater then 0 but less then one (a decimal >_>) make sure you have a 0 in front of it (0.1234 not .1234) or if you're throwing in a negative number, ignore it and continue OR if the box is blank to begin with, make sure you select an item from the drop down menu thats somewhere above it, then change it.

hope i helped >_>
