HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

Well I been modding halo PC for a while and i know everything from making buildings (with the materials already available in the map) To makeing working teleports Yet saddly one thing has pissed me off alot stresses me out and well basicly doesnt make me happy :/ It AI (Artificial Intelligence) So now I got a mod Iam makin for someone and they are demanding they want Spartan AI in it with different weapons.

So now I have to ask for help...(should of asked earlier...I prolly have L.O.L) To get to the point anyone know where I can find a tutorial for makin AI and all because i look everywhere and I can't find ANYTHING! It's all shit! HELP please!

Use halo CE. It's the best for AI-real easy. And everything works A-OK. Then convert it to PC.

Heres a tut for the non CE - PC way, although its pretty bad (the end result) compared to CE - PC http://halopc.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=592.

to make cyborg ai easy...go to hmt3.5 and click on the bipd tag. click on cyborg not cyborg_mp and the tags on top that say bipd unit obj change it to actr yyyy(top thing) yyyy(top thing)

then open up a map from campaign and click the actr tag and click on which type of ai you want. grunt for scared ai, elite for fearless ai (maybe even flood for crazy ai) and save the meta (not recursivly.)

now go back to the main map and inject the .meta tag to your cyborg actr tag.

now in hmtv.5 click on the actv tag and click ghost pilot. for the actr choose cyborg, for the bipd choose cyborg_mp, and for the weap choose a weapon.
(you can save the meta of the ghost pilot and inject it into the other actvs to make ai holding different weapons)

now go down to the vehicle tag and swap the actv with the ghost pilot actv. now you made cyborg ai
