It is going to be out Monday! I was talking to Mono in the Halomods server, he said on monday, and that he is done modding because HEK isn't out.

If you think about it, the best modders have taken the whole mod thing to probably the limit you can possibly get to wihtout massive work involved to get any better results, and without HEK and other Halo implementations that do not exist yet it may just be to much to wanna even mess with.

I'm sure Mono will still mod. Just not as much as he did now. Like no more new Halo Map Tools or on Mirc as much, etc...

i just came back from my modding break last month, nothing great has happened since, we definitly need the hek, or halo is dead since halo 2 is coming out

that would suck if mono left or gren, they are both soo cool.
and about HEK if some of you people out their are good programers couldnt you just try to figure out how to make something similar to HEK....Maybe?

By the time they'd complete such a program Halo 2 would be out and no-one would really pay attention to their hard work lol. Halo PC is just to me a fix til Halo 2 hits, as I've played the xbox version of Halo online for like a year and a half nearly...

it's not as bad as it sounds. At the moment they are holding back the community, no offense of course. it is like a natural forest fire. it comes and kills all the old trees so new ones can come. in time, those will be burned as well. We need new people, like berkano. With people like mono, no one can grow in status but them and the people they give their gifts too.

The whole fire crap may be true, but you can only go so far with modding. Halo is one of the most in-depth games ever, but it has its limits. The only thing I can think of that doesnt have limits is The Matrix..................
