Starcraft Mod

Yup, I'm making a SC mod for 3 games, BF:V BF1942 and Halo.
Here is some of the content:
Features

Yea, I know...=( But not for BF:V and BF1942. So yea...It'll probably be done by the time HEK comes out.

wow man could i help you out with this dude? Starcraft is my favorite game of all time. I like it more then Halo (i like Halo alot) i would love to be involved in a project like this.

Same here man, I love Starcraft, I've played it since I was in 4th grade (I'm a almost a Junior).

The mod will be awesome, heres the run down.

Okay the two maps for this mod are in space with several platforms. There will be 3 Carriers with a few new capitial ships around them for protection (only the protection ships will be pilotable). Same with the Terrans, there will be several Battlecruisers with a few new cruisers surronding them (only the new ones are pilotable). You board the cruisers via a Stargate-ish ring style transport. You will be transported into a launch bay of sorts, and can get in Wraiths or Dropships for the Terrans, Scouts, Interceptors, or Shuttles for the Protoss. There will be Photon Cannons, Missle turrets, and they will all be controllable. The Missle turrets will be able to be aimed down far enough to be used as ground defence. (Imagine a Zealot charing the base only to get blown to hell by the turret). The mod will be awesome...=)

U don't need Hek, Although it'd help. Some people know how to create raw mod2 data for their models and put it in the game.. But. Great mod! :D

Meh, no matter. It won't be done until HEK is out anyway. And this will mainly be a BF:V and 1942 map (64 players is ALOT better than 16).

hah yeah i tried to import a really really fat guy into the game to replace the hog and it said it couldnt read the end of the string? oh well i g2g ill check back lata

i modeled the the terran bunker before it would be awesome to have a starcraft mod for halo and also bfv. hey u know how to code weapons into bfv i can not do it pisses me off

who gives a shit? just put a disclamier that says "all ships/weapons/everythiong else herein are the property of Blizzard Entertainment". if you do that, they cant touch u.

Well, the target release date will probably be in May some time...I won't be done with all of the models and skins until then. Who knows, maybe HEK will be out by the time this is done. If its not there is always BF1942 & BF:V

sweet ass! templar ive seen all your work and im very impressed. i know you can do this, but do you want help? After you have the weapons [such as gauss rifle] in the game, i wouldnt mind doing busy work like balancing them to be powerful, but not too powerful, and most of all EQUAL. im here if you wanna send me a .map outta nowhere and tell me to equal it out according to the Starcraft handbook. i could do the math and ROF equalities straight from the book. I can mainly only work in HMT right now. sorry. if i cant help, i can tell you the weapon equalities/offsets in halo so theyd be equal to starcraft.

Is there going to be any zerg? the hydras could shoot fuel rods and shit. itd be awesome!. [but i know how it is with 3d modeling programs]

hey what program is that, btw?

There may be Zerg...It depends on if I feel like modeling them (I'll probably add them in a new version this summer), but for now it will be just Protoss and Terran. And the modeling program is MAYA. (Yea, some are going to say"but you can't export it for HEK", I can, I got a plugin to export it as .3ds).

I'm figuring out to model better before I pick back up on the mod. The next model I'm going to make will be one of my own creation (A new defensive building for the Terrans)
